Sex and the City 2 stars named worst actresses at Razzie Awards

Sex and the City 2 stars named worst actresses at Razzie Awards
It is the one Hollywood awards ceremony where no celebrity wants to win.
But this year the cast of Sex and the City 2 were among those who were called out at the 31st Annual Golden Raspberry Awards at the Barnsdall Gallery Theatre in LA.
The satirical ceremony, traditionally held the night before the Academy Awards, honour the year’s worst films and actors.
Sex and the City 2 opened last year to lacklustre ticket sales and even worse reviews.
And all four of its stars – Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon – collectively took the worst actress category during the event.
The film, which saw the New York ladies head to Abu Dhabi for a girls’ holiday, was also named worst sequel and took out the worst screen ensemble gong.
‘It was released in the middle of a period of American history when everyone’s scrounging not to lose their homes,’ Razzies founder John Wilson said.
‘And these women are riding around in Rolls-Royces, buying expensive shoes and just throwing money around like they’re drunk.’
Parker said this month that she is open to the possibility of Sex and the City 3, telling the LA Times: ‘I would go back. I think there’s one more story to tell. I know there is.’

Megan Mullally Mercedes Crash Equals Lawsuit

Megan Mullally Mercedes Crash Equals Lawsuit
An earlier Mercedes car crash involving former Will & Grace star Megan Mullally has prompted a lawsuit filed against the actress for allegedly driving through a red light and crashing into another car in 2009.

Wendy Kim claims her Mercedes incurred almost $15,000 worth of damage from the accident, in which both women sustained minor injuries.
Kim has now filed legal documents at Los Angeles Superior Court demanding Mullally pays for the repair costs, but so far the actress has refused because she insists she is innocent of any wrongdoing.

Mullally claims the traffic light was yellow when she drove through it and that Kim’s “negligence” resulted in the crash, reports TMZ.com.

A hearing is to be held in April.

Corey Haim's Mom Speaks Out! Actor Corey Haim Died in His Mother's Arms!

COREY Haim’s mother has broken her silence about the actor’s death.

Appearing on Good Morning America Wednesday, Judy Haim revealed her late son died in her arms and urged fans not to forget the fallen star.

Judy said she moved in with Corey after she was diagnosed with cancer, and was a loyal son, taking her to doctor’s visits.

“It’s been very difficult, to say the least,” she said.

Judy said the night before Corey passed away, they played Frisbee together. She says they played for about 30 seconds when Corey said he wasn’t feeling well. Judy said the next day, Corey came down with a bad fever and she cared for him, keeping tabs on his fever and rubbing Vick’s vapor rub on his back and arms.

“It wasn’t anything at all that I was [seriously] worried about,” Judy said, noting Corey was her “best friend in the whole wide world.

“He was very sick that day, he died in my arms. With all the struggles, I want to honor his memory.

“I just want everyone to remember him for the wonderful human being that he was, and a great actor.”

Megan Fox Wasting Away! Actress Megan Fox Has The Waist of an Eigh-Year-Old-Boy!

MEGAN Fox is disappearing before our eyes.
Sources say the actress — who’s married to actor Brian Austin Green — has the same waist size as her eight-year-old stepson Kassius after she put herself on an extremely strict 1,000 calorie-a-day diet.
Megan apparently weighs just 7st 4lb.

“She’s wearing tiny jeans,” a Megan insider told Britain’s Now magazine.
“Meg might like the way her body looks, but her legs are too thin and she won’t listen to anyone who tries to tell her to put on weight.
“She’s happy with the way she looks and says she’s eating balanced meals.
“Megan loves sushi. She’s not eating anything bad — just not eating enough.”
This isn’t the first time Megan’s weight has been a talking point.
Reports last year claimed the star was left furious when Transformers director Michael Bay told the actress she looked “unhealthy” and that he wanted her to put on weight for the third film in the movie franchise — and that’s why she quit the project.
“Megan stormed out after a huge row with Michael Bay,” a source told British newspaper The Sun.
“He thinks she has lost too much weight and looks too frail. He wanted her to put on some weight and it all kicked off.
“The crew don’t think she looks well, let alone the wholesome, curvy star they cast in the first film.
“She’s going for this gaunt, pale image and it just looks unhealthy.”

Couple reluctantly steps forward to claim lottery winnings

You'd think that the news that you'd won the lottery would galvanize you to pick up the check--and probably quit your job--with all deliberate haste. Not so for North Carolina lottery winners Raleigh and Erin Hill of North Carolina who waited until the day before the ticket expired to cash on their winnings.

Even though they learned of their good fortune a few weeks after the Aug. 20 announcement of the winning North Carolina Mega-Millions lottery ticket, the Hills put off claiming the proceeds from their million-dollar winning ticket. Instead they spent the next six months or so hiding the ticket away in an assortment of places--inside a Bible, a shoebox, an envelope and a work locker.

Why the delayed gratification? It certainly wasn't the case that they live in such opulence that they could take or leave their winnings. Raleigh, who bought the ticket, is a baggage handler, and Erin works for the federal government. No, it appears that the couple was haunted by a sense of unease over the many families who've won a lottery windfall only to see it destroy their lives and relationships.

Raleigh was so fearful of "the hoopla," in fact, that he waited several weeks before telling his wife that he had the winning ticket. And then one day, when she was fretting about having an awful day, he let her in on his secret. "Things aren't all that bad," he told her after leaving the winning ticket on her computer screen.

Indeed, public reticence now seems to be the new vogue among big-ticket lottery winners. Last month, Holly Lahti, a 29-year-old single mother from Idaho, came forward to claim "a $190 million Mega Millions jackpot, but vanished just as promptly from the public eye after the nine-figure payday had passed.

However, Lahti had some distressingly concrete reasons to retire from the spotlight. According to press reports, she had never divorced or legally separated from her long-estranged husband, Josh Lahti--potentially entitling him under state law to a share of her winnings. The couple had both been arrested in a 2003 domestic dispute, and John Lahti reportedly had several run-ins with the law for alleged physical abuse of his wife.

As for the Hills, they took their money in a lump sum, each receiving $340,000 after taxes. At a press conference to announce the winnings, they hinted that they might use the money to buy a new house and take a trip to Ireland, where Erin's ancestors hail from. At which point, presumably, they will resume their lives in comparative anonymity.
