Robbie Williams beard
Robbie Williams beard. Robbie Williams shaved his beard after being mistaken for an old man. The 'Angels' singer has been back at home in Los Angeles working on his new solo album after finishing a tour with Take That, but decided to cut the beard he had been growing after a dinner guest mistook his for a man approaching 60.The 37-year-old pop star wrote on his blog: "I had some guests for dinner. One, who didn't know anything about me, was 57. We were talking about skiing and he said, 'You and I have to be careful at our age'. Then he referred again to 'our' age. "It's the f***ing beard, isn't it? I've trimmed it down."
Robbie then posted a photo with him sporting a graying goatee. In an earlier post titled 'Beard Watch' Robbie had remarked on the fact his beard hair had started coming through differently, writing: "I have new grey stuff . It wasn't there when I last grew one."
Robbie was last spotted with a beard in late 2007 when he first started dating his now wife Ayda Field.
The singer recently revealed he had finished writing the lyrics for several new tracks and is confident the new record is going to be a hit.
He wrote on his blog: "I wrote everything I needed to finish - aren't I a good boy?
"I know I like blanket statements about my music - but this album is by far my most consistent.
"We have an embarrassment of riches where singles are concerned - happy days."
