Tulisa told to drop the slang. Tulisa Contostavlos told to 'drop the slang'. Tulisa Contostavlos has been told to drop her "street slang".
The 'X Factor' judge - who is joined on the panel of the ITV1 show by Gary Barlow, Louis Walsh and Kelly Rowland - has reportedly been advised by series bosses that older viewers may not understand some of her phrases.
An insider explained: "Tulisa has to ditch some of the language she used during auditions - she was using so much slang, some people just didn't understand her.
"She's a great judge, but they told her the show needs to appeal to all ages, so she's practising in private with her make-up team. She wasn't very eloquent at the start and it was a real pain for the editing, but she's getting better."
Meanwhile, the N-Dubz singer - who replaced Cheryl Cole on 'The X Factor' panel - reportedly shelled out £12,000 on dental work so she can look as "glam" as her Geordie predecessor.
A source added to Closer magazine: "She admitted she was self-conscious about her teeth so paid for a bit of help. She's determined to look the part - she wants to look as glam as Cheryl did on the show."
