Russell Brand refused entry into Canada
Russell Brand refused entry into Canada. Russell Brand has been refused entry to yet another country, resulting in his gig in Canada being cancelled at the last minute.
The comedian tweeted yesterday: "HELP! I'm gonna be late for Casino Rama show unless someone can force Canadian customs officials to let us land in Orillia!" A couple of hours later, Russell tweeted a picture of himself next to a map, with the message: "Let me in! I must perform at Casino Rama, Orillia tonight at 9 for 5000 Canadians!"
Eventually he admitted defeat, with the tweet: "Tonight's Casino Rama show postponed. I'm sorry. I can't enter Canada. We must abolish the borders between our nations AND our minds."
Back in May, Russell was deported from Japan due to his prior convictions.
Come back to Blighty, Russ!
Russell doesn't have much luck with airports: he was arrested at LAX last year...
