Madonna Georgia May Jagger Model, Georgia May Jagger has been chosen by Madonna as the newest face of Material Girl, her collaborative range with daughter Lourdes.
The 20-year-old model daughter of Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall will appear in a back-to-school campaign for the brand this summer, taking over from fellow rock star offspring Kelly Osbourne.
Miss Jagger tweeted this morning: 'It’s true! I’m the new face of @MaterialGirl! I must say I LOVE working with Madonna + Lola :)'
Aimed at teens with a punk-pop sensibility, the collection is currently only distributed in the U.S. and Canada exclusively through Macy's.
However it is set to launch in the U.K, Europe, and Australia this summer.
The line encapsulates Madonna's greatest fashion hits from the early years with current trends sprinkled throughout.
Young girls with a penchant for studs, plaid and lace flocked to the line when it was launched in 2010
Prices for the collection range between $12 and $40, perfect for pocket-monied teens.
A heavily kohled Taylor Momsen fronted Material Girl's first campaign, cementing the brand's 'good girl gone bad' image, which often pays homage to the early Eighties.
Three 'real girls' have also fronted campaigns for the brand, when earlier this year the juniors line hosted a model search to find its next faces.
In the Lucky Stars model search, three winners were handpicked by the mother-daughter duo to front the line.
The ladies’ first ads debuted in magazines, online and in stores in February earlier this year.
Now Miss Jagger will no doubt bring a bit of her lady-like glamour to the brand, adding just the right amount of classiness and rock n' roll edge.
She said in a statement: 'To be handpicked by Madonna and Lola as the new face of Material Girl is truly amazing.
'I’ve always admired Madonna’s style and I’m thrilled to be working with them,' she added.
The 5'7 model, who has graced the covers of international fashion magazines such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and Elle, has also fronted campaigns for Hudson Jeans, H&M, and Rimmel.
She is currently featuring on billboards for the annual Fashion Targets Breast Cancer campaign.
